Adult Formation Opportunities

Every year we offer a number of opportunities for adults to grow in faith and learning, equipping us for our journey in following Christ.


Lenten Soup Suppers

Lenten Soup Suppers

Wednesday Evenings in Lent, from 6:00 to 7:30. We will be using the book, “Being Disciples” by Rowan Williams. There is a sign-up in the Parish Hall to being Soup, Salad, or Bread. Dates:

February 21 - Chapter 1

February 28 - Chapter 2

March 6 - Chapters 3 and 4

March 13 - Chapter 5

March 20 - Chapter 6

Lent 2024 - The I AM statements of Jesus

Adult Formation during Lent will explore the "I AM" sayings of Jesus from the Gospel according to John. These sayings describe who Jesus is and can be in our lives. The schedule is below. Bring your Bible and join us!

  • Feb. 18 - I AM the bread of life. John chapter 6

  • Feb. 25 - I AM the light of the world. John chapter 8

  • Mar 3 - I AM the sheep gate and the good shepherd. John chapter 10

  • Mar 10 - I AM the resurrection and the life. John chapter 11

  • Mar 17 - I AM the way, the Truth, and the Life. John chapter 14

  • Mar 24 - I AM the vine and my Father is the vinegrower. John chapter 15


Past Adult Forum Opportunities

Sunday Adult Formation - The Way of Love. A 9-week class. The Way of Love is an engaging and practical program designed by the Episcopal Church to help each of us enrich our spiritual life and grow in discipleship. Topics include: Learn, Pray, Worship, Bless, and Going into the world.

Lenten Soup Suppers - Wednesday Evenings in Lent. Past series include World Religions, Sharing our Faith, Stewardship of the Environment and various book discussions.

Inquirer’s Class - for those who are new to the Episcopal Church, and for long-time members who would like to learn again about our tradition. The class explores Church history, the Bible, worship, and the Episcopal Church today.
